Well my thoughts about the wharfedale VR300 Speaker Package is i think about the same as everyone elses, that i really can’t complain, the speakers puts out about more or less 100w per speaker each and the recommended amplifier to connect it up with is in the range 10-120w . My finding is that these speakers has a very clear and solid sound , and even at about 70% of the volume it can take, it still sounds very audible i mean that you don’t hear any distortion what so ever.
The thing i liked most about the wharfedale VR300 package is the look of the speakers ,when i took of the grills it was a nice ,clean and elegant look. The package is also rated at 6 ohm for each speaker. There are two speakers mounted in each one of the front speakers ,the one is for midrange and the other for bass ,you can actually say that the one for bass is like a small subwoofer. These packages of wharfedale are more for watching movies on your big screen while you can also hook it up with a amplifier to you computer and play a bit of games on these puppies.
The center and rear speakers are what makes the whole experience come together with that surround sounding sound . They are really something else , but if you go to you local audio shop im sure they will let you have a listen to them yourself . Then you can decide ,do you like them or not ,well its up to you, i can’t complain .Overall the wharfedale VR300 are very good .

I really cant say anything bad about the Sony STR-DH520 amplifier just that it puts out a powerfull 7.1 channel output in surround sound .The STR-DH520 packs a powerfull 100W per channel @8 ohms (thats times 7 ) , it will basically work with any speaker package on the market .What i really like about the amp is the hd features ,like full hd 1080/24p and the 3D over HDMI. The six HDMI inputs makes it easy to plug in all of you favorite devices .
More of the features included are Dolby True HD , Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD .The subwoofer output is very interest ,it starts at a outstanding low frequency of about 40Hz to about 200Hz tha should get any house start rattling . Overall what i think about the Sony STR-DH520 is that you wont go wrong with this amp ,Sony has really done a good job.

The best home theater amplifier in my opinion will definitely be the yamaha amplifier series , in my experience i have had a yamaha amplifier for more than 7 years with o hassle and the sound quality is still superb and the features on the amp are still almost the the same, that you get these days except now for the network features and HDMI .
7 years back they did not have those features or i mean they did but they were very expensive at the time. Amplifiers of yamaha are these days less that what they were and have almost more functions and better quality built in integrated circuits.
Sony’s amplifier series is also not bad but actually wont come near the quality of yamaha’s natural sound , well that’s my thoughts maybe someone else would think different . I had my yamaha connected on wharf dale surround sound floor standing speakers (5.1) and the quality was out of this world i mean you literally live yourself into a movie if watching one .If going out for shopping and looking to buy a n amplifier of some sort look out for a yamaha or even better do your own research and find out for yourself which amps are of great quality
i usually do my research online,i get a list of the products to compare to each other then looking at them one by one i rule some out till i get the best product.I mean best value for money. I own the RX-V359 its a old model but still playing good, had the wharfdale VR300 package connected to the amp but sold it ,now looking for new speakers.
